Originally published in 1948 by the Ordnance Survey of Great Britain this is a 1968 3rd impression of the Drift Edition - Scale one inch per mile. In the margins there are full explanations of the geological signs and colours.
The colours remain vivid and despite some fraying and creasing along the original folds of the map it remains an impressive and imposing decorative piece especially with its new modern artisan mounting and natural wood frame.
