The author Angus MacPherson describes himself as never having "risen to great altitude. Seton Gordon in his foreword describes him as "an expert piper, angler, seannachaidh(Gaelic story-teller) and sheep farmer. Born in 1877 he grew up in the late Victorian era and then witnessed the changes to the Highlands through the first half of the 20th century and this book is his reminiscences of a life well lived.
Condition Notes
There are some significant tears to the dust cover all around the edges and on the back there top 2 inches of the cover have been torn off. However the cover is still there and is an integral part of the copy.
The book itself remains in good condition with clean cover boards and clean and bright pages throughout. This Copy is signed with a dedication from the the author dated 1955.
