A large antique Scottish silver thistle foliate Plaid Brooch
A rather unique large antique silver plaid Brooch produced by the Glaswegian silversmith David Crichton Rait (Makers mark visible on reverse DCR) and hallmarked Glasgow 1839. The brooch is designed as a wreath of thistles with foliate.

This antique brooch is in fine condition overall.
This is a second hand jewellery piece and will have some imperfections. Older jewellery was primarily hand crafted(modern jewellery is more often than not cast made). They are therefore unique pieces.
