In 1934 Sven T. Kjellberg and his assistant Olof Hasslöf from Goteborgs Historiska Museum travelled mainly by Bicycle the length of the outer Hebridean islands from Barra to Lewis. The aim of the trip was to establish if there were any ethnological links between the fisherfolk of the island and those in Sweden. It was a period of change in the Islands and the photography and notes transcribed to the contents of this book provide an interesting insight into life at the time.Sven T.
