John MacFadyen (1850–1935) hailed originally from Mull but spent his adult life as a railway man in Glasgow. his first book of prose and songs, An t-Eileanach, was first published in 1890. He was part of the vibrant Glasgow Gaelic literary scene and the book recounts minor incidents in the social life of the Glasgow Gaels.
Condition Notes
The book has survived and they are quite rare to find. The book is very usable and readable but it has suffered some dampness at some point and has some general looseness. It does however remain an attractive copy. Previous owner name has been inked out on the front end paper.
