Condition Notes
The Cover Boards
The overall condition of the volume is good given its age.
The cloth gilt boards are in good state but there is fraying along the edges and some wear to spine.
The Maps
All Generally in good condition with little staining except around title on first map(see image).
There is slight offsetting and occasional short closed tears where old folds cross, some repaired on verso.
Colouration remains intact.

This tome is the Supplementary volume only with a title page and contents list and then six large engraved folding map sheets with contemporary outline colouring, which if conjoined form a monumental map of Scotland.
The map is titled
"A Map of Scotland Divided into Counties shewing the Principal Roads, Railways, Rivers, Canals, Lochs, Mountains, Islands &c. on a scale of Five Miles to an Inch"
On Map 5 there is a fine detailes engraving of Melrose Abbey
