About the Author
Thomas (Tom) Crawford spent the first part of his academic career in New Zealand at the University of Auckland before returning to Scotland in 1965. After a brief spell as lecturer in English at Edinburgh he moved to Aberdeen becoming Senior lecturer and subsequently Reader in English. He is considered an outstanding figure among his generation of Scottish literary Scholars.
