The title poem Craig Phadric refers to a hill just west of Inverness. It is an ancient hillfort and an important archaeological site. The hillfort is situated on Craig Phadrig Hill, which offers panoramic views of Inverness and the surrounding area.Craig Phadrig Hill has historical significance and is believed to have been an important stronghold in the Iron Age. It was later used by Picts and Vikings as a defensive site. The name "Craig Phadrig" is derived from "Cnoc Phàdraig" in Scottish Gaelic, which translates to "Patrick's Hill."
Condition Notes
This is a fill leather-bound original volume., There is some splitting of the front board from the spine however it does still remain attached. Thsi splitting has lead to some overall losseness and the contents page is detached but still present. Overall given the age and rarity of the book it remains a well presented volume.
