There is also a glossary of place-name elements with aids to pronunciation compiled by W. J. Watson (Professor of Celtic languages at the University of Edinburgh). There is a pull out map of the central Highlands at the end of book.

    The guide remains a useful book for all interested in understanding and exploring the central Highlands of Scotland.

    In good overall condition.

    The original dust cover is missing. The blue cover boards are still bright and stain-free. The inside pages are all bright and clean throughout. There is a previous owner name in ink on the inside end-paper.
