Between 1972 and 1974 Professor Colin Renfrew and a team partially excavated the neolithic chambered cairn of Quanterness with its superimposed round house of the Iron age. In this report he discusses the three site supported with a full range of diagrams and detailed pull-out maps of the Quanterness cairn and its interior, and examines their relationship to the pattern of early farming societies in the northern islands and elsewhere in Europe.
Condition Notes
A good original hard back copy - the cover has taken a few light bruises in the corners with a larger one on the top right corner in the front. The dustcover remains in good condition with just a small tear in the middle of the spine.
