Condition Notes
Book 1:
A good quality edition with bevelled green cover boards with gilt embellishments and vignette of stag horns. Some general rubbing and fraying at the top and bottom of the spine and at the corners. Inside the pages are bright and clean with just some spotting on the title pages and frontis. The binding is good with just some slight looseness.
Book 2:
A good quality edition with bevelled green cover boards with gilt embellishments and fir tree design. There is some loss of colour on the bottom left of the front board and some general fraying around the spine edges and corners. The book remains well bound with bright and clean pages throughout.

From the library of Millward Inge of Knighton 1868 with bookplate on from left end-paper.
Book 2:
Two previous owners Sabina Hilton 1882 and Smith 1889 - hand written dedications in ink on front spare title page.
