    Edward Topham (1751–1820) was an English Journalist, playwright, soldier and dandy. On leaving Cambridge University he travelled for six months in Scotland and Edinburgh in particular. His letters treat many themes, the Scottish dialect and accent, the civility and good nature, their Suppers, theatre, law and gardening amongst others.

  • Condition Notes

    There is some loss of the leather on the tops and bottoms of the spine, some cracking and some fading of the gilt title and volume number. There is some general looseness of the binding. The inside pages remain bright and clean throughout.
