Poems by John M'Killop

A little known Author - John M'Killop was born in Warrenhill in the parish of Dalry Ayrshire and was to become known as "the bard of Warrenhill." He worked on his father's farm but also taught in neighbouring farms. In 1823 he moved to Saltcoats to become a merchant where he died in 1870 aged seventy-four. His poems were published posthumously by his brother(?)

This rare book is in average condition with some lose at the top of the spine and some looseness in the binding.  The text pages are generally good but there is some foxing and some random stains. There is a previous owner name and date on the front end-paper(possibly the first owner of the book). Some small repairs can be carried out to ensure the book's longevity.
