    Another handsome volume with original blue cloth, ruled in black, illustrated on front board (woman in bonnet holding a struggling child), lettered in orange on front board, in gilt on spine. Ther are some bruises and some loss of colour on the coverboards

    Inside the pages are bright and clean throughout with green end-papers and all paper edges coloured green. There is an attractive period first prize book plate on front end-paper dated Xmas /99.
