His prowess as a storyteller come to the fore in this book, whether recounting legends of ghosts, fairies, mermaids and witches, or telling the true tales of Ross and Cromarty's history - from the eccentric life of Sir Thomas Urquhart to the cholera epidemics of the 1830s.
Condition Notes
A well presented volume in good overall condition with clean cover boards with just some fading of the spine and a minor scratch along the front one. There is some detachment on the inside front end page along the hinge but it is still holding well.
The inside pages are clean and bright with usual age-related tanning and just a few spots of random foxing especially around the title pages. There is a previous owner name and dedication in ink and dated 1886 on the spare title page.
