    About the Author:

William Power (1873 – 1951) was a Scottish author, journalist, and politician becoming  leader of the Scottish National Party from 1940 to 1942.

  • Condition Notes

A quite rare 1st edition with original dustcover - this has some tearing and loss around the edges and especially at the top and bottom of the spines.  The overall binding is good with some looseness at the title pages. The inside pages are bright and clean throughout with tissue guards present for all 33 plate illustrations. There is a greetings card applied with glue to the front endpaper which adds to the authenticity of the work.
