This is a magnificent example of late 19th century book printing with an ornate red and gilt hardback presentation, gilt edged paging and fine colour reproduction of famous Scottish landscape scenes based on drawing by A.F. Lydon.
Condition Notes
This edition remains in very good condition with its smart red bevel edged cover boards with gilt design.
The inside pages are well presented with each colour image protected by a blank paper sheet. The images remain bright and clear.
This book has been a prize awarded in 1892 to a student for "general proficiency in all subjects". This inscription is in ink on front end paper.
