    The author Elizabeth Helme(1753-1814) was originally from County Durham and then London. She was a popular novelist as well as being a teacher and translator.

    Originally first published in 1803 this novel is a romantic portrayal of Scottish Highland & Island life.

  • Condition Notes

    A fine leather bound edition with some cracking along the spine and some minor scuffs to the leather boards. The Gilt spine title has been lost.

    Inside the pages remain bright and clean with some foxing noticaeble on the title pages and randomely throughout.
