    A History of the City of Edinburgh. The volume includes a fold out map of the City drawn by W. H. Lizars and  a facsimile of a birds eye view from 1575,  There are also 5 full page engraved plates showing St Giles Church, Tron Church, Waterloo Place, Heriots Hospital, Donaldson's Hospital and Free High Church and New College and finally a view of the City from Calton Hill.

  • Condition Notes

    In fair condition - the book remains well bound overall.

    The leather binding has rubbing and bruising and there is some splitting along the spine joints. The Marbled paper cover is now well rubbed out both front and back.

    The inside pages remain clean and clean and bright. The Fold out map has some creasing and splitting along the seams at the bottom. The facsimile view of the city is missing the top left hand corner - please see images.
