Synopsis
In his preface the author makes it clear that the aim of the book is not to prove whether the Loch Ness Monster actually exists or has existed but more to explain why the controversy has persisted for so long (since 1933 when the first claim was made). The book provides a brief chronology of the Nessie story as well as a bibliography for all documents relating to the story.
