    This work was intended for Gaelic-speaking Canadians. The original printing states the collection until 1517 however this is incorrect and it is in fact from 1411 - 1715 or aas the author states from the Battle of Harlaw until the Battle of Sheriffmuir and the Jacobite uprisingof 1715.

    The work includes an introduction on Gaelic reading and spelling as well as the structure of Gaelic Poetry.

    The book covers the works of some 35 Poets from Lachinn Mor Mac-Mhuirich to Iain Mac Ailain. There is a short biography of each Poet in English.

     

     

  • Condition Notes

    There is some external damage to this copy - as you will see from the images there is a piece of the top of the spine mising and some cracking along the spine edges. However the inside pages remain in excellent condition and are bright and clean throughout.

    I re-binding is recommended for this rarely available work.
