The Empire Exhibition was held at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, from May to December 1938 and within it was the "An Clachan" or the Highland village as a symbol of Highland culture and as Alexander MacEwen writes in his preface "...the home of a virile and gifted race..."
This accompanying publication is a collection of essays on Highland society and culture at the time.
Condition Notes
In a fair to good overall condition.
Cover boards have some light stains and fading and there is some fraying at the top of the spine and some bumping of the corners.
The iniside pages are clean and bright but tanned with some spotting throughout heavier on title pages.
