His interests included nature, weather, astronomy, antiquities, Gaelic culture and folklore and this publication has chapters on all these themes.
Condition Notes
This is an attractive classic Victiorian style edition.
The slate grey cover boards have some light staining and fading with fraying edges along the top and bottom as well as some folding of the spine and bumping on the corners.
The inside pages are clean and bright and tightly bound however there is some spotting on the end papers and title pages.
Previous owner name and date in ink on inside front end paper.
